The skin must be prepared with Theraderm cleanser, exfoliant, OPC gel and moisturiser for two to three weeks prior to a Jessner's Peel. Please see details below.

Patients should discontinue use of products containing retinols two weeks prior to their Jessner's Peel to avoid overpeeling. The peel will cause a tingling and slight burning sensation which lasts a few minutes and is easily tolerated. Following the treatment there will be a period of skin exfoliation followed by the renewal stage.
